inherit;\">Spinal stenosis is a condition where the nerves in the spinal cord are compressed as a result of the narrowing of this canal. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">This narrowing may sometimes be congenital or may develop with age. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Depending on the severity and location of the narrowing, it may cause pain, tingling, numbness and even limitation of movement in the waist, back, neck, arms and legs.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Spinal stenosis in young people is more often associated with congenital structural problems. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">However, this situation occurs in the elderly; <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">It may develop as a result of long periods of inactivity, excess weight, chronic diseases, spinal deformities, a herniated disc or progression of conditions such as arthritis. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Other risk factors include smoking, genetic predisposition and chronic trauma.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Spinal stenosis is more common in men than in women. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The risk increases especially in individuals over the age of 50. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">However, it is possible to encounter this condition in young people due to some genetic disorders or trauma.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">When diagnosed early, relief and symptoms can be controlled with treatment options. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Therefore, it is recommended to consult a specialist immediately when signs and symptoms are noticed.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> : Benign or malignant tumors occurring in the spinal cord or around the spinal canal can cause narrowing of the
